Mini Contest 11.2011
Growth "It isn't enough!" Nero yells, grabbing at his hair. He sat down on the edge of the grove that for the past five months has been his and Mae's training ground for their Eevees. Since then, the seasons have changed and those cool, dewy afternoons have become muggy, sweltering days. Nero threw his jacket off to the side, the additional perspiration only adding to his annoyance. Gritting his teeth in frustration, Nero watched as his Eevee playfully rolled Mae's Eevee through the glen, nipping and prodding each other as they went along. Nero knew from his grandfather that if he wanted to evolve these Eevees without the use of stones, he needed tGrowth by ~Jzazy
Catching Lugia"Rena use ember!" Mae's vulpix lights the small torch and illuminates the area around them. Mae smiles and picks up Rena, while handing the torch to Nero.

"I wonder how much farther it is?" Nero says and holds the map of the Whirl Islands caves closer to the light the torch is giving off. Walking down a narrow path within the cave they both hear the distant roar of a waterfall.

"I can't believe how close we are to finding it!" Mae excitedly says and Rena wiggles in her arms with agreement. Nero smiles, glances back at Mae and then back to the map.

"It should be up ahead to the left." Nero shoves the map into his back pocket and holds the fCatching Lugia by ~xXwrite4luvXx
By The CampfireNero and Mae sat on opposite ends of the fire. With Carter and Ellest off searching for fire-wood they were all alone except for Rena who was resting wearily on Mae's lap. Nero was staring at her in a way that she would have found discomforting had she not been watching Rena twist and turn in her sleep.
"She okay ?" he asked,trying hard to seem nonchalant which to him seemed ridiculous given they're closeness,but he did it all the same.
"Shes just tired after today" she said without looking up from her lap. "She went a little crazy today chasing that pidgey."  
"I think she's crazy, period" Nero grinned. Mae's focus broke and she looked upBy The Campfire by ~DaftAnime
CE- New BondsMae turned around when she heard her name and saw her good friend Nero running towards her at an impressive speed. "Gah," she partly squealed as he dug his feet into the ground trying to stop.

"Omph," Nero let out as he fell on his butt. It was either fall forwards or back, and Nero had no intention on attacking Mae. Mae let out a little laugh and smiled at her friend as he let out a low, embarrassed chuckle. "Heh, sorry Mae," he said as she helped him up.

"It's okay Nero," Mae said as she took note of Nero's little friends. "I should be careful for letting you fall like that. Who are they?"

Nero followed Mae's line of vision, "My grandpa CE- New Bonds by ~xxtwilighttears
